Landmark

We are just behind the Lonehill Shopping Centre. The office park is an offshoot of the centre, which means you get the quiet parking without losing the easy directions.

Parking

Ample and free, right outside. No boom, no access control, no circling.

Accessibility

The practice is easily accessible for wheelchair users and patients with limited mobility, and our security guard at the entrance is famously helpful with wheelchairs and a steady arm.

Your first visit

Step by step, so nothing is a surprise

Nerves come from not knowing what happens next. So here is exactly what happens next.

01

You see Dr Essop himself

Your first appointment is an examination with the specialist, not a screening with someone else. For children especially, he starts by explaining the single most reassuring fact in orthodontics: at the orthodontist, drilling and injections are somewhere between rare and non-existent. This visit is looking, chatting and photographs.

02

He examines, then tells you straight

If treatment is not indicated, he says so. If it is, he asks your permission to take proper records, because an accurate diagnosis needs more than a glance.

03

The scan is the part everyone remembers

Dr Essop does the intraoral scan personally, and a complete 3D copy of your teeth appears on the screen in front of you. He walks you through what he sees while you look at your own mouth from angles you have never seen. Most people arrive thinking about crooked teeth and leave understanding their bite.

04

The team finishes the records

The photographs and x-rays, and then Dr Essop goes away to do something increasingly rare: he plans your case himself, including his own tracing of your x-rays.

05

Then you come back for the conversation that matters

Your full diagnosis, every treatment option open to you, the timeline and the exact written quote. You take it home. Nobody asks you to decide in the chair.

A consultation is R680. The full records and planning process is R4 240. Every fee is published openly on our fees page.

Out of hours

A note on emergencies

We do not run an after-hours service, and we would rather tell you that plainly than have you discover it at 9pm.

What we do instead works well: every patient starts treatment with a clear instruction video covering the common problems, a loose bracket, a poking wire, and how to handle each safely at home. Call us when we open and genuine problems are seen the same day. For a true dental emergency after hours, an emergency dentist is the right call.
